Donald's Bedroom

Donald was the last Brown child and was the only one to live in the mansion. He was 6 years old when the Browns moved into the mansion. His room has hand painted canvas walls and ceiling. It has an adjoining bathroom which connects to the master bedroom.

Donald was not a well child. To strength him, his parents provided him with gym equipment at the mansion. He had the use of the Natatorium also.

Violet, who was 14 years older than Donald, said he was a very popular boy.

He was born in 1899 and died Nov 11, 1911, from complications of diabetes, one month before his 12th birthday. After Donald died, Mrs. Brown had the room closed up. Violet opened it again only after her parents' deaths.
